Whero Services Ltd was established in 2005 and is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. The directors are husband and wife team Melanie and Jared Riwai-Couch. Jared is from Te Hapu o Ngāti
Wheke (Rapaki) - Ngāi Tahu and Kahungunu while Melanie stems from Rāngitāne and Ngāti Kuia. Jared and Melanie have a wealth of experience in education including work with Early Childhood Education providers, schools including kura kaupapa Māori, PTEs, Universities and Colleges of Education. Whero core business
is education consultancy and business development, and Whero has a number
of contracts with South Island iwi and education agencies. Melanie and Jared have five tamariki – Brigham , Mei, Eden-Kohunui, Manuera and Makere.
